Ya know. a couple years ago I didn't know what these were. You probably don't either. The Wakin is a fan tailed goldfish that is called the “poor mans Kohaku” in Japan. This is an EXTREMELY durable, beautiful goldfish that is cold tolerant, tolerant of low oxygen levels, reduced water quality, attains a nice size (14-17 inches) and has a look to it like no other goldfish. They are absolutely stunning! I highly recommend these fish in the shallow, rock bottomed, Aquascapes type “water garden” environments, which are NOT a good Koi habitat. These, and the Longfin Hybrid Carp (Butterfly Koi ) are far better choices for those environments.
Pretty Eh ?
